In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting was the Sales 101 class that my college did not offer.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
My College Works Painting experience gave me the confidence to take on a job that had nothing to do with my degree but the job was much more lucrative than where my degree was taking me.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
Not to give up and not to accept NO.
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
If you are going to do the College Works Painting internship, push yourself and go all in. It seems like a lot of commitment but it is really a short amount of time in the grand scheme of things. I worked my butt off for 6 months and made $26k which was good but doesn’t mean anything compared to the confidence I gained in being able to sell a service and believe in myself as an entrepreneur.
