A chance to do what most cannot.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
College Works Painting gave me the skills and confidence to quickly transfer career types.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
The Williams, I would apologize for not taking the time to paint their house to perfection the first time. That project taught me the most of all of them.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
Do things right the first time.
How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?
I met my best friend in College Works Painting and will now be in his wedding June 2018.

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Focus. Do not try to do too many things in life; do a few things well by paying attention to the details of those few things. And remember what you do in this internship affects you for a year or two, but could affect your clients for decades. Do not half ass any part of your business.
Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CW. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?
If you want to be anything more than a ‘heads down’ developer, do College Works Painting or other business internship.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Meet other developers and decision makers. Also, put in the hours.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
Getting a 5 digit check.

Do not make a habit out of choosing what feels good over what is good for you.
