In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting was the jump start to my college career and one of the most stressful, yet valuable, experiences I’ve had.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
The challenges I’ve faced through my College Works Painting experience were unique and other employers recognize that.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
I had a client named Mike Rinchiuso in 2011 who gave me the job because I was persistent and confident without overstepping my boundaries. He showed me why building strong professional relationships mattered.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
You have to step out of your comfort zone sometimes.
How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?
I saw one of my team members at a career fair and he was able to recommend me for a position. While I didn’t end up pursuing the opportunity, it is good to know that College Works Painting alums realize talent in other College Works Painting alums.
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
When you make it to the end, you realize you can easily take on many other challenges you come across in your career.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
If you are unsure of where to go or early in your internship career, College Works Painting might be a great opportunity for you. If you know what industry you want to go in, it may be more valuable to find an internship in that particular industry.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
The last few houses, where I sat back and watched the money make itself.

Make it to the end, and you will feel like you can take on any challenge.
