Brief Description of Duties / Responsibilities:
– Full lifecycle recruiting for Cash App’s Engineering org in the U.S. and Canada – Act as talent partner to Engineering Directors and Sr. Managers to build and evaluate hiring processes, regularly ensure alignment on hiring strategy and execution, and share insights into hiring metrics and external market trends – Hired software engineers (backend, cloud platform, SRE) for a variety of product verticals including our Financial Services, Commerce, and Community abstractions; I also supported hiring efforts for a handful of non-technical roles including: Fraud Analyst, Sales Engineer, Tech Writer – Helped Cash App build and launch several successful new products by hiring founding engineers for the following teams: Cash App Teens, Cash App Pay, Cash App Taxes, as well as two stealth products; Helped 3x the size of the engineering teams for both the Cash App Card and Cash App Borrow products. – Helped uplevel the overall effectiveness of Cash App’s recruiting function by building tools to enhance recruiter productivity (trackers, calculators etc), piloting innovations to our hiring process & contributing to other team-wide process improvement projects, and creating and presenting training materials for Cash App’s compensation program – Represented Cash App recruiting at industry events including: Afrotech, Blacks In Tech Conference, Bitcoin, Diversitech, Women Who Code, and Ambitious Girl HBCU Tour

What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Get outside your comfort zone. Challenge yourself to grow personally and professionally each day, and work hard to build and maintain great interpersonal relationships.
