In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting taught me that I do not want to be a business owner. This has allowed me to focus my career goals on what I really want instead of being all over the board. The advantage is that I knew what race I was competing for when I graduated and was able to get a jump above the others.
Advice
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Delete the words “I’m sorry” from your business vocabulary. “I’m sorry” means it is your fault and rarely you are the sole person to blame. Delete excuses from your vocabulary they throw someone else under the bus and cause your boss to think you have no recovery plan. Instead, talk about the situation. Example: late proposals. “The team worked very hard to get it done, especially Evan, but there were some unknowns that made us uneasy about submitting without further review. There is a plan in place to have it done as soon as possible.”
