In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting gave me the opportunity to not only nail my interview with Amazon, but also was the only noteworthy item on my resume which got me the interview in the first place.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
College Works Painting gave me the confidence and communication skills required to succeed in the professional world. I came into my position with more management, public speaking, and recruiting skills than even my manager currently has.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
College Works Painting taught me the value of knowing how to talk effectively with people of all different backgrounds. Knowing how to communicate and develop trust with others is the greatest foundation for success.
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Take every opportunity and talk to as many people as you can. The more estimates you complete and interviews you perform in your time as an intern, the more you will thank yourself after the end of the internship.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Be genuinely passionate about accounting and develop the communication skills and networking skills required to nail your interview.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
My second year with the company, I won so many awards that I felt I was on the stage for half the night during the awards dinner in Cancun.
