College Works Painting gave me the tools and confidence to go get what I wanted both in school and in starting my own business.
Hard work and perseverance were the greatest lessons I learned from my College Works Painting internship experience. When your having a bad day, keep on truckin and things will come your way as long as you don’t give up.
Potential College Works Painting participants – This is no walk in the park. It will test you both mentally and physically so be in it to win it or look for an internship fetching coffee. Current College Works Painting participants- Good job on making it this far! Keep on the hard work and everything will come together over the summer. Make sure you promote at houses near a job-site you’re working on. Its the lowest hanging fruit your gonna get so make sure to pick it. (My biggest regret other than not going to Cancun lol.)
If you want to start your own business you really have to be passionate about what you’re doing otherwise don’t even bother. Do some soul searching to really figure out what you enjoy and then spend allot of time coming up with business ideas(not product ideas.) When you have 25 research, test, validate and launch! You will never come up with an idea that no has thought of before. The difference will be that you are the one who acted and followed through on it.
Events and biweekly call parties. Working side by side with people going through the same thing you are and people who have done it before is allot of fun. You meet some great people.
Fake it till you make it!
