In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?

The sales and management experience gained while at College Works Painting was paramount to any classroom lesson.

How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

College Works Painting was my first sales experience and it really solidified the direction I wanted my career to go in. I learned how to run a business from the ground up, and discovered that sales was my favorite part of it.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?

You get out of it what you put in, not only in regards to College Works Painting, but in everything.

Advice

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?

Seek out a mentor; don’t be afraid to start at the bottom and work your way up; work smart.

Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CW. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?

If you’re accepted into the College Works Painting internship program, do it. It will teach you a lot about business, but so much more about yourself.

What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?

Do your due diligence on the company you’re interviewing for and don’t accept your first offer.
