Brief Description of Duties / Responsibilities:

Creator of Selling with Purpose Online Sales Course. DOPE Academy helps entrepreneurs and business owners’ scale online by helping them create and sell a high-ticket offer. The end result is increased income, less hustle and burnout, and more diverse revenue streams. The value is delivered through private coaching, group coaching, access to an exclusive community, and actionable exercises and curriculum.

What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?

Saving up 5,000 to take a week vacation. I learned to let go.

College Works Career Impact

In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?

Without struggle there is no progress. College Works Painting has transformed me into someone who works to live not someone who lives to work.

How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

I have not graduated yet. I have received multiple job offers due to College Works Painting. They are all contingent to my near graduation; however, it has brought great experience and respect from those I interview with. I don’t reach – they reach for me.

What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?

Tina or Mark – 2012 Intern Year It was the first time in my life rapport became something I thought about. It was also the first time I built relationships with strangers who gave me feedback both negative and positive. It showed me how a single person can change the result of a single business just through communication and sincerity. They fed me, invited me to easier dinner, and both clients pushed me to reach for the stars. If it were for those sales I’m not sure I would have completed College Works Painting.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?

Fail, learn, and travel while you are young and able.

How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?

People always say you are who you surround yourself by – what an understatement. You are surrounded by people who are like minded, who not only understand you better but also know where to get under your skin. It is a new appreciation for people. I don’t think I have ever had this much respect and admiration for my peers. They make me want to live, really live.

If you had to come up with a one line slogan for CW, what would it be?

Speak softly but carry a big can of paint.

Advice

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?

Potential College Works Painting participants – Ask yourself why do you want to do this? Ask yourself why would you not want to do this? Who are you doing this for and who can impact your results? When they say soul search, they mean it. Current College Works Painting participants – Front load all of your work. Fear is what causes people to half ass their actions and people can tell. Ask for help, fail hard, but find people and courage to get back up. This changed my life in more ways than I can describe.

What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?

Regardless of your career field, expand. I was a pre-med student in business. How are you going to know what you want if you never expand your bubble? To me College Works Painting is not about learning how to run a business, it is about how to run your life. You learn to manage your time. You learn to travel and enjoy living rather than the strenuous daily routine. You learn to communicate to a diverse set of people. You learn about yourself and how far you can actually push yourself. You learn to fail and get back up and start all over. You learn who to live.
