In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting to me was an unparalleled experience and helped me become who am I today in my work life and personal life.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
College Works Painting made it so that I was choosing the company that I wanted to work for as opposed to feeling like I needed to take the first job that was offered to me. Now in my career, I feel like I am capable of anything after all that I accomplished because of College Works Painting.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
That not every bad thing that happens is the end of the world. I learned to look at a bad situation, do what I could to make it better, and move on.
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Potential College Works Painting participants- do it!! There is nothing else out there that will give you this kind of experience. Current College Works Painting participants- keep at it! This is an incredibly challenging experience and if you push through you will benefit from this in more ways than you even realize!
Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CW. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?
The skills you learn with College Works Painting are applicable to any industry. Leadership, dedication, and determination are desirable to any employer regardless of the industry, and that is what College Works Painting teaches you.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Do this internship!! College Works Painting is what made me stand out amongst my peers in the post-college job hunt!
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
Cancun. Everything about it!
