College Works Painting allowed me to be confident in a professional setting because I knew that after College Works Painting I would be able to out work the majority of people in the workplace.
I actually got my first job in tech because someone I worked with at College Works Painting was a recruiter and they reached out to me because they thought I would be a great fit. I got the job and I have been in the industry for the past 5 years.
A lot of the skills that you learn in the College Works Painting internship carry over almost anywhere, the problem solving, listening and negotiating, time management, project management, and leadership skills are all thing that are needed in pretty much any industry and having this on your resume is a great way to stand out.
Practice active listening, don’t just wait for your turn to talk actually digest what someone is saying and dig deeper because typically they will tell you everything you need to get a deal done if you ask the right questions.
We had a lot of fun during my time at College Works Painting we did a ton of cool activities like Top Golf, bubble soccer, yacht trips but even the work together was fun. Just going out and painting or going marketing together was hard work but because we all had similar mindset and knowing we were working towards something made it easy to find ways to have a good time.
