What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?Selling nearly a six-figure account within my first few months at a company that most people don’t survive as long. My actual proudest accomplishment: the relationships I built and maintain with the five people I would consider to be my closest friends to date and one person I consider to be both a lifelong friend and mentor. Three were interns with me. Two were interns under me. And the one was my Vice President.
College Works Career Impact
In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
I used to tell people to “College Works Painting made me who I am today”, but the truth is, College Works Painting taught me how to do that for myself, just better.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
College Works Painting gave me the opportunity for a career. While I was the one that put in the effort to get to where I am, College Works Painting and it’s leadership gave me the resources to get here. Without the resume that College Works Painting helped me forge, I would have never been considered for an interview; without the interpersonal skills I learned through the program, I would never have made it through the grueling interview process; without the whatever it takes attitude I took on to win in the program, I couldn’t have survived such a high intensity position; and without the “work hard, play hard” mentality that I hold so close, I would not live the incredible life that I live today.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
Winners are those who are willing to commit. Whether it is work, your personal relationships, or how much fun you have every Friday.

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Know the why. What do you stand to gain from the program, and how would you use this opportunity to turn yourself into who you want to be? If you are already in College Works Painting, then commit! You can stay in the program for years, but you only have one chance to kill it at your first attempt to run a business. It doesn’t matter if your long term goal is to run a company of your own, to be a doctor, to be a lawyer, to be in sales, or to be the best damn musician on the planet, proving yourself starts now. Remember, the people who are the most successful on this planet, are the ones that find something worthwhile and commit. Most of them aren’t still in college when they find it , lucky you.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Embrace the fact that you know next to nothing, and commit to changing that as quickly as possible.
