In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting has given me the experience to get where I want in life.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
Because of my years with College Works Painting I was able to get a job that I otherwise would have had to work my way up to. I graduated in December of 2013 and was offered a full time position March of 2014.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
I want to say thank you to my clients for believing in me and giving me a chance.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
I learned that I could handle more stress than I thought I could.
How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?
College Works Painting friends will be coming to my wedding and one of them will be in the wedding.
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Be ready to work hard and when things get tough keep pushing through. Making it through College Works Painting will change your life.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
It’s been my experience during interviews that companies are looking for someone with a large skill set. There a very few jobs out there that you can be successful in by being great at only one area of work. Companies are also looking for people who they know can handle stress and excel in a competitive environment. College Works Painting pushes your limits on a personal and professional level forcing you to grow.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
The feeling I got after booking my first client.
Last words of wisdom?
Nothing worth having comes easy.
