Brief Description of Duties / Responsibilities:
I invest in self storage facilities, large 100+ unit multi-family residences and commercial property in the Midwest for passive income every month. We also fix and flip properties quick cash influxes and lend money to other rehabbers so they can do the same. The principles I learned at CWP are more important than ever! However, instead of painting the properties, now I buy them. I have even partnered with another CWP alum (Bob Hinrichs) to start one of my companies in Indianapolis.

In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting taught me how to run a business through time management, relationship-building skills, and prioritization.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
College Works Painting was all any employer would ask about. To have real numbers for a business you ran is sought after in the real world. To this day I continue to use the skills I learned from College Works Painting to optimize my life.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?

How to manage and prioritize my time.
How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?
They have been extremely valuable to me. I continue to take trips with College Works Painting alums.

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
When it gets tough, look to your coworkers/friends to help guide you. College Works Painting is a family and we care about each other.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Every employer wants to know that you can manage stress, run a business, and sell (either a product or yourself). Every interviewer I had almost solely asked me about my College Works Painting experience. Even through I had industry internship experience, it was not as important to them as was College Works Painting.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
Go-karting!
