In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?

College Works Painting was the foundation for a lot of who I am today, business wise and personally.

How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

My College Works Painting experience helped me get my internship after college. The CEO of the company was actually one of my College Works Painting clients. They made a position for me because he knew all of the great things I was capable of from seeing how I managed and sold for College Works Painting. After graduation it was a huge help in my interview process. The VP of ADP (current job) told me I wish every college kid did College Works Painting because it is the best internship I have ever heard of. College Works Painting teaches you so many real world experiences you can’t even put them into words.

What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?

Mike and Kristy Povich, Vincent Road in Paoli!! I painted their house the summer of 2010. I actually still keep in contact with them! They came to my college graduation party last summer. I would tell them thank you so much for their patience and encouragement through the process. They were the biggest job I had that year and the nicest people. They really helped me build my confidence as a manager and never treated me as a kid. I loved working with them!!!

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?

The biggest lesson learned from my College Works Painting experience: Not to stress the little things. I think my DM wanted to punch me most days because I was always stressed out over the smallest of things. Over the course of the internship I learned how to change that and take the approach of If the house isn’t on fire then it can be fixed. This helped me develop as a person too.

How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?

I could write paragraphs about this…. I have so many best friends from College Works Painting. The job I have now I was referred in by a friend I did College Works Painting with. I just took a trip to Texas and met up with people that did College Works Painting 4 years ago. I had a friend from Oregon who I did College Works Painting with come stay with me for a week. I have at least 3 friends from College Works Painting that will be in my wedding and probably about 20 that will be invited to my wedding. I could go on forever about how many amazing relationships have come from College Works Painting but the one thing I always tell people is that any person that completes College Works Painting you automatically are friends with because of the experience you shared. Its impossible to put into words with out experiencing it but its simply amazing.

If you had to come up with a one line slogan for CW, what would it be?

College Works Painting, its not about painting houses, its about changing lives
