College Works Painting has meant knowing a lot of great people and having a lot to be proud of.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
Great resume builder – not out of college yet.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
I would thank my clients for being patient and helping me develop both as a person and as a leader. It meant the world to work for them and to have the opportunity to manage projects for them.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
Hard work and being honest is the best way to convince people to work with you.
How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?
I have taken a number of trips with the friends I made in College Works Painting to places like New Orleans and Grand Marais. I stay in touch to this day. My district manger in particular helped support me through some of the most difficult times in my life and has been a close friend for years.

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Ask questions – everyone in the company has been in your shoes and will be able to help no matter what problems you encounter.
Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CW. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?
Make sure you start networking right away.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Work hard and ask a lot of questions.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
Mark giving everybody on the streets of Cancun a rose.
