Brief Description of Duties / Responsibilities:
This position consists of Technical Engineering Sales for both secure/ non-secure communication systems primarily to the U.S. Federal Government, U.S. Military, and Intelligence Community. A few broad examples of our customer groups include satellite space launch and control, military test and training ranges, air combat training, and any additional applications requiring mission-critical voice communications for command and control military applications.
What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?My proudest accomplishment would be working hard to save up money to buy my first house 3 months ago. It is very fulfilling to be able to purchase your own home with your own hard earned funds.

In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
I have had more personal growth and fun in College Works Painting than any other experience in my lifetime.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
My College Works Painting experience changed my direction and focus for my career after graduating from Penn State. I originally wanted to go into the CIA, but went into software sales instead. Four years later, I am now making very good money selling hardware and software to the Federal Government and U.S. Military.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
I met the nicest old man in State College who was such a pleasure to work with. He and his wife made dinner for my painters and I every night after the job for 4 days. Building relationships is everything in business, do it right.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
The greatest lesson I learned from College Works Painting is that hard work and determination will get you much farther than natural skills and talent. It also makes you a better all around person as a while. College Works Painting builds mental toughness for college students and in my opinion prepares them for the real world.
How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?
What they told you the first day in training was correct, I have built 8 amazing life long friends in College Works Painting that I still talk to very frequently to this day.

Work Hard Play Hard
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
I would say the most important character trait for interns in College Works Painting is perseverance. At some point everyone I knew including myself was so stressed they were at the point of quitting. It is important to make good friends in the internship that also push you to reach your full potential through encouragement and good competition.
Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CW. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?
I would honestly say do both. Completing a career specific internship then completing 2 years at College Works Painting would be perfect to get career specific experience, branch manager experience, and district manager experience.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
I would highly advise close attention to details, having a solid work ethic, and not to be intimidated by challenges that seem to great, those are the best to overcome.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
The carnage of white water rafting in the Poconos with teams from PA, NY, and NJ.
