In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting taught me everything and gave me all the tools I needed to succeed and to get me where I am today.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
Before I graduated I already got an Assistant Manager position at a bank after only working in banking for six months.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
I would just like to thank all of my clients for believing in me and taking a chance on me. They have all been a part of the greatest experience of my life.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
Do what you have to do now to do what you want to do later.
If you had to come up with a one line slogan for CW, what would it be?
WORK HARD, PLAY HARD!
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Jump in 100% and give it everything you have. Don’t slow down and never give up.
Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CW. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?
There is no better way to show that you are well rounded and capable in all fields than actually getting hands on experience in all of the business fields. Plus it can either help you pick a new field or confirm for you that your chosen field is right for you.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Be willing to put yourself out there, show a great work ethic, (show up early, stay late, NEVER call in) always be professional, find out what motivates those around you, and encourage them to do better.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
Experiencing the Canadian night life with my team who have become life-long friends.
Last words of wisdom?
Nothing easy is ever worth that much.
