In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting was a great way to get to know how businesses work and the importance of relationships and service. In my current position, it’s been great having a background of sales, margins, and understanding the importance of treating customers right.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
College Works Painting helped me understand the work hard/play hard mentality. There’s times when you work, and it’s important to work hard. There are other times when you’re with your family or friends and the best thing is to be focused on spending quality time with them.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
Finding the needs of people and how to best meet them with your product or service.

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
College Works Painting is totally what you make it. You can be working hard, but it may not be the most effective.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
It’s super fast-paced and you’re never bored.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
Making my first sell–it was awesome.
Last words of wisdom?
This is totally what you make of it. I’m glad I was in this program and got the experience of cold calling, the importance of working efficiently, and being able to employ people during some hard economic times.
