The framework for launching my professional career and developing my character.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
My College Works Painting experience provided me with great talking points for interviews and impressed interviewers looking over my resume. The experience also taught me to be comfortable being uncomfortable.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
I would like to thank all my clients for taking a chance on and trusting a young hard working 19 year old with such big projects.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
Nothing good ever comes easy. Hard work produces results.

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
If you put in the time going door to door and doing as many estimates as possible, you will see results and continue to book more work during the College Works Painting internship.
Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CW. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?
Be open to unique opportunities and internships like College Works Painting your freshman and sophomore years of college. During your junior year of college, choose an internship specific to your target industry.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Say “yes” to any nee opportunities that come your way while you are young. Build meaningful relationships with professionals who have experience in the field.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
My favorite memory from College Works Painting was the Cancun trip at the end of the year. I had an incredible time and it felt great to be rewarded for my hard work.

Don’t quit. Your hard work will pay dividends whether it is months or years from now.
