In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting gave me a groundwork to confront difficulties and to be successful in various life endeavors.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
College Works Painting provided great resume experience that led to a marketing position. It has had less experience on my graduate career.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
The Capeners. They were friendly and became almost like family to my panthers and I.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
You can only sell what you believe in.
How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?
I’ve stayed close friends with them and we still stay in touch.
If you had to come up with a one line slogan for CW, what would it be?
Future business leaders, painting houses. :)
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Be willing to work hard, real hard, and the results will follow.
Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CW. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?
So much of life is perseverance and being able to do hard things. College Works Painting is way better for that than any other internship I’ve ever had.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
The friendships that I created with my fellow interns that still exist to this day. I still keep in touch with my district manager over 5 years later.
Last words of wisdom?
Most people do not recognize talent because it comes in overalls and looks like work. So, be willing to work and you’ll be successful.
