Brief Description of Duties / Responsibilities:
Oversee the project and help manage subcontractors. I am in charge of writing and dealing with RFI’s with the architect as well as submittals between the architect and the subcontractors.

In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting has meant the confidence to be able to achieve whatever I want professionally or personally.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
College Works Painting gave me the skills to be able to hit the ground running in my career. I was able to have a head up in the interview because of my experiences and because of the interpersonal skills learned.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
My clients taught me how to run a business and everyone of them I talked to I asked for advice to get better and be of better service to them. They all gave me small tidbits and shaped my year and future.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
My greatest lesson I learned was do what I have to do now so I can do whatever I want later. Meaning I worked my butt off during the internship but it paid off now that I have started my career where I want.
How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?
The people I have met during this internship are life long friends and people I still keep in touch with.
If you had to come up with a one line slogan for CW, what would it be?
Work hard play hard.

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Ask lots of questions and never let up.
Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CW. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?
The best thing you can do for yourself is become as rounded of an applicant as possible and show that you can do anything and be successful at it.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Be willing to learn all the time and be willing to put in the hours.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
Going to Cancun with all my friends and getting to do an excursion with winners of challenges.
