In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting allows you to develop as an individual, not solely through professional skills, but through every aspect of mature, adult life.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
Susie and Carl Seletz. My biggest client and the most awesome people I have ever met. They were very flexible and cooperative with me and let me swim in their pool. My painters loved them. Carl is a ZBT alumni. I want to let him know his help during College Works Painting has led me to become the President of ZBT at Ohio State!
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
Take time to enjoy your success. Also, no situation is ever as bad as it appears to be.
How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?
Keep in touch with at least 3 members. We hang out often and talk about College Works Painting memories.
If you had to come up with a one line slogan for CW, what would it be?
Work hard. Play hard.
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Don’t fool yourself. The program is hard. You will all struggle at some point. If you believe in yourself and your abilities you will succeed.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
You learn your career field during class. Learn something outside your comfort zone with an internship. Applies especially to younger guys (freshman and sophomores).
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
Signing my first solo contract.
Last words of wisdom?
Figure out how far you want to go and don’t stop until you get there.
