Brief Description of Duties / Responsibilities:

I serve as the Reliability Engineer for the crude distillation units at the Whiting Refinery (12PS, 11A PS, 11C PS) and the associated gas plant (VRU300), where I am the main point of contact for reliability strategy, long term engineering evaluations, and implementation of reliability improvement efforts. I work within the asset team to drive improvements to unit availability and optimize life cycle costs. Some key responsibilities of my role include: facilitating failure analysis, developing and driving asset strategy, prioritizing improvement efforts, front-end loading turnarounds (TAR), providing input into the capital project plan, and facilitating the development of less experienced engineers within my team.

College Works Painting was a great experience to start off my college career on the right foot and make some money in the process.

How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

College Works Painting was a resume builder and something I called upon in interviews as well. Gave me an introduction to sales.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?

Sales is hard work.

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?

If you are committed in terms of effort and time, there’s not really an opportunity for a better experience than College Works Painting after your freshman year.
