In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting established the building blocks of the man I am today.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
College Works Painting gave me the ability to dazzle in any interview I went into. I didn’t have the strongest grades but my work experience and ability to relate to people truly separated me from the rest.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
That if you work hard and put in the time to learn and grow you can succeed at almost anything. Work hard today so that you can get ahead tomorrow.
How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?
“I currently work with one of my fellow interns. Andrew Robertson. He builds the homes and I sell them. Its great! I also still keep in touch with numerous people.”

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Just keep knocking.
Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CW. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?
College Works Painting- teaches you more then any internship at a desk can. It teaches you real world skills that transfer over to pretty much anything. Most of all it also teaches you a lot about yourself.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
You will always get more no answers then you get yes’s. But just one yes makes all the no answers worth it.
