Building relationships is the key to successful business people.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
Having the College Works Painting internship on a resume has an incredible impact on getting a interview before others, as well as ultimately getting the job you want. Being able to talk about running a successful business with all the duties you completed as a Branch Manager is huge during an interview.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
Some customers just suck. No matter how much you go above and beyond, some people will never be satisfied.
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Many parts of running your own painting business is tough, but it will all be worth it in the end. Future career doors will open because of busting your butt for a few months. Trust me, it’s worth it.
