Being promoted at AFN. I was able to use a lot of my roles and responsibilities from College Works Painting during the interview process for my position.

In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?

A job that was able to showcase talents in different areas of the business world.

How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

Immediately after graduation by teaching me flexibility and the commitment to working long hours. Currently, in the more day to day aspects of my roles at College Works Painting and what I do now. Setting expectations, building rapport, and managing finances for customer accounts.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?

Persistence and relationship building.

Advice

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?

Be willing to sacrifice time and some social activities. It pays off in the long run by providing more opportunities in the beginning stages of your career, both professionally and socially.

What’s your favorite memory from CW?

The entire night in Windsor as well as the war parties during the week calling our leads.

Last words of wisdom?

Enjoy your time at College Works Painting and make sure to stay in contact with the network of people you meet. 99% of the people you meet are highly motivated and talented. Those are the sort of people you want to be able to call up in 10 years when you need a new lead or opportunity. Most will be on their way to high level positions within major players in both traditional and emerging industries.
