In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting allowed me to know how hard working of a person I truly am, it made me work harder than anything else in my life.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
College Works Painting is all that I talked about in interviews, it’s giving me so much to talk about and differentiate myself from my peers.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
Jason Perez 2013. I just want to thank them for how understanding and just a nice client he was, so many things went wrong on this job and when most clients would get frustrated he understood everything.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
Hard work pays off, and to prioritize my schedule and work efficient.
How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?
All the people that I met with College Works Painting we have a special bond and connection to this day! We will definitely work together in the future in some aspect.
If you had to come up with a one line slogan for CW, what would it be?
Work hard play hard.
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Even during the hardest time with College Works Painting you need to keep going even when you don’t think you can, it will pay off!
Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CW. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?
I did College Works Painting freshman year, so I didn’t know exactly what industry I wanted to go into yet. College Works Painting allowed me to work with almost all of the business sectors. It lets you figure out what you like the best and are the best at! Then do an internship in the industry you want to go into.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Work smart and put the time in, it always pays off. If you’re efficient and hard working things come a lot easier
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
Cancun is definitely amazing, but all the payrolls and just meetings with all the other interns is just an amazing experience.
Last words of wisdom?
Whenever you’re working on either school, or work or family you need to focus 100% on what you’re doing, don’t work on school and think about College Works Painting, just do 100% on one of them.
