– Direct the activities of a software systems development function, software applications development function, and a software quality assurance function for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools. – Design, develop, and manage applications that improve processes, remove redundancy, and connect systems – Build Web Applications in PHP/javascript/html5/css/SQL that focus on improving the customer experience while maintaining high return on investment – Bridge and develop around applications that utilize APIs from SAP/Salesforce – Engage with stakeholders, document existing processes, and drive process/system changes that improve business response – Organize and coordinate price list publishing activities. – Generate, analyze, and post price lists – Identify, diagnose, and resolve pricing and price list publishing issues

In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?

College Works Painting was a solid stepping stone with a tremendous amount of experience and making it through this program demonstrates the right attitude to get things done.

How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

College Works Painting improved my communication and management skills and thus team projects were a breeze. Before even graduating I became a contractor for Adobe before going full time after graduation.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?

How to hire, recruit, and interview people. The values that you need to find to effectively run a business is critical in creating a successful team.

Advice

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?

Don’t give up. Your attitude is everything. You have to believe you can do it and do whatever you can to succeed. If you can do more then you’re not trying hard enough.

What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?

A positive attitude with a work hard play hard lifestyle underlined by programming skills.

What’s your favorite memory from CW?

When I went back to school and knew that from my training, my employees would be able to manage the job for me.
