The skills learned during College Works Painting have given me the confidence and experience I credit to many of my current successes in business and life.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
Telling my College Works Painting story in interviews has given me multiple on the spot job offers with Fortune 500 companies. It takes 10+ years at a corporate job to to gain the skills and experience you can get at one summer with College Works Painting. I still use a lot of the sales tactics and time management habits I used at College Works Painting in my everyday life.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
If you stay focused, manage your time well and treat people right you can accomplish anything.
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Think about the big picture. Running a business is hard. When things get stressful take a step back and remember why you are doing this. The skills and experiences you gain at College Works Painting will set you up for both personal and professional successes.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
My painters, myself, and the homeowner chasing the homeowner’s prized dog around the neighborhood for two hours after it got out of the yard.
