Exterior House Painter (Former Employee) - Green Bay, WI - August 18, 2021

I worked as a painter for college works and I loved it. My coworkers were always fun and helpful, and my boss was able to work with me about being flexible with my schedule. Days can be long, but it feels very rewarding. I had never had any experience as a house painter so I was very nervous about starting this job, but I am so happy I did. If you’re like me and you have a very strong work ethic and are looking for outdoor work, this job is perfect for you.

Branch Manager (Former Employee) - Appleton, WI - October 6, 2020

I had an incredible experience working at College Works. I learned so many applicable business skills and I experienced a ton of personal growth as well. I gained a lot of leadership and communication skills and learned more than I could have ever imagined. It was hard work and sometimes stressful, but I personally think you grow the most when you challenge yourself and College Works allowed me to do just that. If you’re looking to take the next step and push yourself to see what you’re capable of this is a great internship to do that.

Painter (Former Employee) - Hartford, WI - January 9, 2020

Ran a crew of 3 to 4 other guys painting the interior and exterior of houses. Enjoyed seeing the overall finished work, as well as the socializing that came with bidding some of the jobs.

Sales Intern (Current Employee) - Appleton, WI - June 9, 2019

Wonderful experience in running a business. Highly stressful and heavily encourages going above and beyond. The management team is really structured and knows what they’re doing.

Branch Manager (Former Employee) - Clintonville, WI - September 21, 2017

You will be doing everything from nocking on doors to gain customer, to hiring employees and leading the projects in the field. There is little oversight from your managers and you will be put to the test. Not everyone makes it through the program, but the ones that do walk away much stronger and wiser.

District Manager (Current Employee) - Eau Claire, WI - September 8, 2017

CWP is yes a very difficult job from time to time but few jobs are more rewarding. From being paid what you are worth, seeing a client cry because your work moved them, learning and developing as a person, or the amazing opportunities to come and have to far due to my experience being bigger and better without a college degree then those 5 years out of college now!

Branch Manager (Current Employee) - Elkhorn, WI - September 11, 2016

This internship made a huge change in my life. I learned so much more about myself and others. College Works Painting really taught me how to manage my time, communicate with others, and run a successful business. I would recommend this internship to anyone trying to improve altogether as a person.

Branch Manager (Former Employee) - Brookfield, WI - September 6, 2016

I worked as a branch manager for 2 years in southeastern Wisconsin. In the Springtime, I worked about 20 hours a week, knocking on doors, calling clients, and making sales. In summertime the job becomes full time, with the start of production, managing a painting staff, and juggling administrative tasks. I am a completely different person because of my time with College Works Painting. My understanding of how a business works is 10 fold what it was before, however, the most important thing I learned from CWP is how govern myself. You have a district manager pushing you, but you yourself will ultimately determine how much work you put into your business. The great thing about this company is that they truly care about making your experience life changing!
