Helped create my network and family.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
College Works Painting was not only my full time job while in college but gave me job opportunities all over the United States when I graduated. My experience helped put me ahead of others and gave me the freedom to get to choose what was best for me not just what I “had” to do.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
My first client. Can’t remember their names but have the photo still. I appreciate them for trusting me and giving me the belief in myself I needed
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
Your abilities are only limited by your own beliefs.
How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?
All of my closest friends are all from College Works Painting. My son’s Godfather was with me at College Works Painting. Almost all my best memories as an adult have a connection to College Works Painting.
If you had to come up with a one line slogan for CW, what would it be?
“Transforming Homes and Lives, One Brushstroke at a Time!” :)

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
There isn’t anything that can teach you more in 6 months than the College Works Painting Internship.
Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CW. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?
Every career path is requiring people to stand out more and more. The skills you gain through College Works Painting can help set you apart from the others.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Get comfortable with being uncomfortable and find solutions not problems.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
Releasing turtles in Cancun at 4am.
